Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Coinclave's platform and services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the platform. These terms apply to everyone who uses Coinclave, whether you're renting a vehicle or just browsing.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driving licence recognised in the country where you're picking up the car. We accept licences issued in the EU, EEA, UK, and most international licences. A government-issued photo ID is required for identity verification before your first rental.
3. Service Area
Coinclave operates exclusively in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. All pick-ups and drop-offs must take place at designated locations within these five countries. Cross-border travel between these countries is permitted on most vehicles -- check the specific terms for your booking.
4. Rental Agreement
Each booking creates a separate rental agreement. Rental periods, pricing, and vehicle availability can change and are confirmed at the time of booking. You agree to return the vehicle in the same condition you received it, minus normal wear and tear.
5. Cryptocurrency Payments
All payments are made in cryptocurrency. Prices shown are denominated in BTC or equivalent and may fluctuate with market rates at the time of transaction. Once a transaction is confirmed on-chain, it's final. Coinclave isn't responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect wallet addresses, network congestion, or blockchain outages.
6. Security Deposits
A refundable deposit is required for every rental. The amount depends on the vehicle. Deposits are held in smart contract escrow for the duration of the rental and returned within 48 hours after the car is returned in good condition. Deductions may apply for damage, late returns, or traffic violations.
7. Cancellation Policy
Cancel more than 48 hours before your rental starts and you get a full refund. Cancel within 48 hours and a 15% fee applies. No-shows forfeit the full rental amount. Refunds go back to the wallet address used for payment.
8. Insurance & Liability
Comprehensive insurance is included with every rental. You must report any accidents or damage straight away. Your liability is limited to the deductible stated in your booking. Insurance doesn't cover damage from racing, off-road use, or driving under the influence.
9. Prohibited Use
Don't use the vehicle for anything illegal, racing, towing, or off-road driving. Subletting or handing the car to someone else without our written consent isn't allowed. No smoking in the vehicles. Breaking these rules can mean immediate termination of the rental and loss of your deposit.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts in Amsterdam, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the updated version here with a new date. If you keep using Coinclave after changes are published, that counts as acceptance.
